Young Vocalist Fundamental Holiday Workshop

Music is an integral part of movies.  An effective music or theme song can set the mood and emotion of a movie.  Remember the theme song of "Jaws", "Star Wars", "Indiana Jones", etc?  The music in these classic movies are so powerful that you cannot separate them from the movie.  If you don't agree, try watching these movies without the music.  You will know what I mean.

We are ready to compose new songs for our upcoming projects.  We are looking for vocalists for one of the original songs we have written.  In this workshop, students will learn to sing an original pop song and record the song in a professional recording studio!

For the 3 days, the students will learn from award-winning music coaches on:

• Singing for self-expression
  
• Exploring your vocal range
  
• Mastering vocal techniques
  
• Learning an original English pop song
  
• Overcoming the anxiety of recording a song in a studio
  

At the end of the workshop, the students will know how to protect their vocal chords while singing, express themselves better through various vocal techniques, and ultimately, record the song in a professional studio.  Under the guidance of the coaches, they will collaborate with each other and accomplish a pop song – an outstanding entry in their portfolio.  No prior musical experience required.
