Seek The Reel Stuff - An Intermediate Film-making Workshop​

Do you want to be an advocate for the kindness movement in Singapore? Here is the opportunity! We are collaborating with Uncle Ringo for this project! You will have a chance to go to Uncle Ringo Carnival for on-site production (after 6pm on 10 December).


Following our beginner film-making workshop, this 2-day* workshop enables you to pick up intermediate skills of film-making, form a team and produce your short-film to tell your audiences the importance of kindness. Skills and knowledge that you will gain from this workshop include
- Creative writing skills (Script-writing and Storyboarding)
- Communication skills
- Camera-shooting techniques
- Developing a log-sheet for post-production
- Soft-skills (eg. Teamwork and Personal Mastery)


Every participants’ films will be professionally edited and published on Youtube at the end of the workshop.


IMPORTANT NOTES:
* Participants must have attended the Beginner Workshop to attend this Intermediate Workshop.
* The timing for the workshop on 9 December is from 9am - 5pm and 1pm - 9pm on 10 December. Lunch and dinner will be provided and is inclusive in the workshop fees.


About the Instructors


Raymond Tan
An Engineer by qualification but a Filmmaker at heart; Raymond Tan is the Producer and Director with Brainchild Pictures Pte Ltd. Not having a media degree to his accreditation, he accumulated film knowledge from ground zero and independently produced and directed his first film "Wa is for Wayang" in 2011. Over the years, Raymond has accumulated his experience in producing and directing films, including "Wayang Boy" and "The Wayang Kids".  He is also recognised by the Ministry of Education in Singapore as a good resource for schools to encourage bilingualism and promote the learning of Chinese cultures. The Ministry of Education in Korea has screened his movie in all schools and develops a teaching resource to guide educators in facilitating lessons.


Roger Tan
Roger Tan, an entrepreneur, was with Ministry of Education for 22 years as a teacher and Head of Department (HOD). He is a specialist in Physical Education and has a vast experience in engaging students and staff in learning. During his service in a school, he was instrumental in developing the school’s Character Development and Pupils’ Wellbeing Frameworks and in achieving the school’s Best Practice Award (Student All-Round Development). He received the National Day Award (Commendation Medal) in 2013. He started Core Entreprise to continue his passion in developing the CORE (eg. character) in everyone.
